Online Traditional Islamic Learning Program for Men (Urdu)

eMahad is offering an 8-year Online Traditional Islamic Learning Program based on the curriculum of Wifaq ul Madaris al-Arabiya, Pakistan covering an in-depth study of Quran, hadith, fiqh, usul al fiqh and Arabic language and grammar. The program will be taught by the experienced and skilled faculty of Mahad al-Faqir al-Islami, Jhang, the parent institution of eMahad, founded by Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshabandi (db). The institute currently has more than 900 students with more than 70 full-time or part-time faculty members.

The classes will be conducted in Urdu over state-of-the-art paid classroom software. The program is conducted free of cost.

Schedule:  Sat, Sun and Mon from 5pm-8pm (Pakistan time)
Language: Urdu/Arabic
Total workload per Week: 9 hours + practice/Takrar sessions + Individual study

Please note: We are accepting transfer students from other institutes into 2nd and 3rd year of the TIL Program.
2nd and 3rd year classes will begin on August 1, 2017 inshaAllah. If you would like to transfer into 2nd or 3rd year of the TIL Program from another institute please email ilm@emahad.com with (1) the name of the institute you wish to transfer from, (2) grades for exams, (3) reason for transfer. If you are unable to provide final exam scores, eligibility to enter into 2nd and 3rd year  will be determined upon evaluation.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

1: I can only understand basic Urdu, can I enroll in this course?

Ans: The course will be run in Urdu. The lectures will be delivered in Urdu and the texts used are in Urdu and Arabic. Efforts will be made to stick to simpler Urdu so that more people can benefit. In the first years the focus will be on developing a strong background in Arabic.

2: What is the fee for this course?
Ans: The course is run for free.

3: How will I get the books/texts?
Ans: We will try to arrange soft-copies/scanned versions of all books that will be taught during the program. Those of you are based in countries where books are available would be encouraged to purchase their own book set.

4: Which curriculum will be followed?
Ans: We will be following the standard 8 year curriculum proposed by Wifaq ul Madaris al Arabiya Pakistan. The curriculum has room for some flexibility which will be utilized.

5: How are the examinations conducted?
Ans: Internal examinations by eMahad will be conducted during the year and also a final examination will be conducted online. Those of you who can visit our parent institution Mahad al Faqir al Islami in Jhang, Pakistan or any of our affiliate institutes in different parts of the world would be encouraged to sit in on site examinations conducted by eMahad.

6: Can I give Wifaq ul Madaris al Arabiya Examinations?
Ans: As per the rules of Wifaq ul Madaris al Arabiya the students who study the program online are not allowed to sit in the exams conducted by the body.

7: What degree will I receive by the end of the course?
Ans: By the end of the course, Mahad al-Faqir al-Islami, Jhang will issue you a certificate of completion.

8: How are the classes going to be conducted?
Ans: Classes will be conducted through leading online classroom software.

9: Will I have access to recordings if I miss any class?
Ans: Yes, recordings will be made available after every class.

10: Do I have takraar/practice sessions in addition to the teaching sessions?
Ans: Yes, there will be 2-3 hours of takraar/practice sessions per week

11: How much weekly workload should I expect in total?
Ans: Initially for the first 6 months, the total workload will be around 10-12 hours per week

12: Will I be able to attend classes on phone/tablets?
Ans: Yes. The classes can be attended through a phone or tablet with internet connection.
